Unlike GCC countries where fuel prices are uniform nationally, Indian fuel prices vary by state due to differing state VAT and excise duty rates — sometimes by INR 10–15 per litre between states.

The Indian Rupee (INR) is a floating currency managed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Unlike GCC currencies, INR fluctuates freely against all major currencies including USD, EUR, and AED, making exchange rate monitoring important for both expats sending remittances and importers of gold and fuel.
