Historical charts and monthly trends
Note: Fuel prices are provided by ENOC and published via official UAE fuel price announcements.
Prices shown are official rates and may vary slightly between petrol stations.
The UAE liberalised its fuel pricing in August 2015, replacing government subsidies with a monthly market-linked system. Prices are set by the UAE Fuel Price Committee on the last working day of each month and take effect from the 1st of the following month, based on the average global crude price during the preceding month.
Four grades are available at UAE filling stations: Super 98 (highest octane, recommended for performance and luxury vehicles), Special 95 (standard grade, suits most passenger cars), E-Plus 91 (budget grade for older vehicles), and Diesel (for trucks, SUVs, and commercial vehicles). All prices are per litre in AED.
ENOC (Emirates National Oil Company) and ADNOC Distribution operate most filling stations across the emirates. Since deregulation, UAE pump prices have occasionally been among the lowest in the world when crude prices fall — and can rise sharply when global oil markets spike. There is no advance notice of changes until the committee announces at month-end.
